The format and order of the paper depend on the scientist's point of view. If the scientists are trying to explain their findings to another group of people, they will be engaging the reader through their stories. If the scientists are trying to explain their research to a committee of fellow scientists, they will be using a more abstract style. The next step in constructing a fun persuasive research paper topic is to use humor. To be successful with this type of approach, you must think outside the box. This will allow for some influence from the writer's own context in addition to the perspective of the listener. When making fun persuasive research paper topics, be sure to combine a sense of humor with a solid research agenda. Although being humorous might be an obvious choice, it might not be the best approach for the overall composition. And it doesn't have to always be a joke.So remember to be creative when deciding on fun persuasive research paper topics. Remember to use research that relates to your topic. Graduate Essay Samples - Why You Need to Write Your Own
Graduate Essay Samples - Why You Need to Write Your OwnWhen students enter a PhD program, they usually need to write an essay sample. These are often filled out by their mentors, and many students will do this even if they have never read any of the books that describe how to do this.Of course, a dissertation is not written for the graduate student's life, but often times, they need a sample in order to learn what to say and what they should avoid. This is why it is so important for students to read these books and to develop their own writing skills. The book that is given to new students will usually be one of the chapters that talks about how to write the essay, or an overview of what the advisor thinks the best way to do this would be. For many students, this is all they ever have to read!If students do not know how to do this, they often have to wait until they get their master's degree before they know enough to create their own essay. It can take some time before they are able to talk to someone who can tell them exactly what to do and when. Even then, there is a good chance that the advisor may still be teaching other students, so they have to wait a while before they can learn from others. However, if students wait until they are at the advanced degree level, it can be tough for them to be able to see what they're doing wrong. So, students often ask the advisor how to get started in the writing process. For most students, this is the first time they have ever asked for a program, which has already meant that they are asked to wait longer before they can use their new education as a stepping stone into graduate school. This is because they don't know how to do it, and they need to be taught how. What students are now getting help with is how to write the dissertation without having to go back to school, or having to spend the rest of their lives working on a master's degree. They can learn the basics and use their education to help them at some point.By the time students get to graduate school, they have spent years in large volumes of study that only has taken them so far. So, the earlier they start, the better off they will be!

Why Do People Follow Cults Essay Example For Students
Why Do People Follow Cults Essay Cults Each year, hundreds of North Americans join one of the increasing, estimated 3000 unorthodox religions that exist across North America. The increasing number of cults, to date in North America, is due to the fact that cults are a social movement that attempts to help people cope with their perceived problems with social interaction. Cult recruiters target those who perceive themselves as different from the rest of society, and give these individuals the sense of belonging that they crave. Cult literature lures potential cult members by appealing to their desperate need to socially fit in. Cults provide a controlled family environment that appeals to potential cult members because it is a removal from the exterior society. Cult recruiters prey on those who see themselves as alienated from the rest of society, and give these people the sense of conformity that they desire. A common method of recruiters, to obtain new members, is through chat lines on the internet. We will write a custom essay on Why Do People Follow Cults specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now A recorded conversation between a member of the Divine Light Mission, Fire-Shade, and an 18-year old boy, Jay 18, was obtained off of the site, IRC Teen Chat. Jay18: I am a really great poet, but all of the kids in my class are pretty warped about it. I basically hide it from them because I dont need that hassle. Fire-Shade: My family has a great respect for the artist inside us all. I know you live in Michigan, and our family could always use new operatives all over the world. You have to understand what our family is about, it is about always fitting in and never hiding the truth to be liked or cool. Are you interested? Jay18: Well maybe Fire-Shade: Give me your phone number we really shouldnt talk about this here. Jay18: I would rather not give my phone number out. You give me yours, I wont be able to talk for long though. Fire-Shade: Trust is very important in our group. Do you trust me? You cant call us, unfortunately because we are not in a position to be accepting phone calls. Jay18: Well then you can just e-mail me. OK. Fire-Shade: disconnects1 The cult member makes the young boy feel as though he does care about his problems, and wants to make this boys life better. Fire-Shade conveys his family as an entity not as many different individuals. After feeling alone for many years the only persuasion some individuals need is the assurance that they will be part of a society and accepted unconditionally. Cult members know what type of individuals feel most alienated and alone, says Dr. Lorna Goldberg, a New Jersey psychoanalyst. No one plans to join a cult unless they see that cult as a possibility for a family, or a better society. Cults target people in transition college students away from home for the first time, people who have moved to new cities for jobs, those who have just been divorced or widowed. Usually individuals 16 to 25 or 35 to 40. The vast majority of members are merely looking for a sense of community and belonging, during a difficult time in their lives.2 Cults provide an ersatz social unit, which takes them in, nurtures them and reinforces the cults worldview. By the time that most cult members realize that this cult isnt what they had expected, it is too late, because they are already too afraid to leave. Recruiters are not the only way that potential members are enticed into cults, often their literature is powerful enough. Cult novels, pamphlets and websites draw in potential cult members by appealing to their desperate need to socially fit in. Often if a piece of cult literature is written correctly it convinces the most logical mind of the most absurd reasoning, like this pamphlet by the Heavens Gate cult. The generally accepted norms of todays societies world over are designed, established, and maintained by the individuals who were at one time students of the Kingdom of Heaven- angels in the making- who flunked out of the classroom. .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 , .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 .postImageUrl , .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 , .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1:hover , .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1:visited , .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1:active { border:0!important; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1:active , .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1 .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u15266913903feb060bb56795413bedf1:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Juvenile delinquency Essay Legends and scriptures refer to them as fallen angels. Nicaragua Essays - Nicaraguans, Nicaragua, Managua, Free Essays
Nicaragua Essays - Nicaraguans, Nicaragua, Managua, Free Essays Nicaragua Have you ever wanted to go to a place during our winter season that is warm or hot most of the year? Well, most people choose Florida, or California. But, why not go out of the country this winter and try the largest country of Central America, Nicaragua. I did lots of research on Nicaragua, and I hope you learn as much as I did. To begin my report, I will give you some brief history. The first inhabitants of Nicaragua were the Nicaro Indians. This way of life was blended with Spanish settlers when they first came. The name of this tribe was from a great Indian chief, whose name was also Nicaro. This chief was so famous that the country of Nicaragua was also gotten from his name. Next, I will tell you about the land of Nicaragua. It is located in Central America, and is the largest country there. It is on the continent of North America. Nicaragua is 50,193 square miles (130,000 square kilometers). Honduras borders Nicaragua in the north, and it is bordered by Costa Rica on the south. There are two oceans that border Nicaragua. On the east, there is the Carribean Sea and on the west is the Pacific Ocean. Nicaragua has many different types of land forms. There are mostly volcanoes, some active, behind the coastal plains and along the Pacific border. The active volcanoes cause some danger to the coastal cities, but there haven't been any serious accidents. The largest volcano in Nicaragua, the Santiago Volcano, lies south of Nicaragua's capital city. Lots of steam rises from the little holes that surround the volcanoes. East of these volcanic regions are the Central Highlands. This part of Nicaragua is rainy and has some evergreen and deciduous forests dotted around. The forest's floors are flat, not hilly like some other regions. Very few people live in this forest-like place. There are also some lakes in Nicaragua. One lake, Lake Nicaragua, is the largest one in Nicaragua and Central America. The other lake is Lake Managua. Both of the lakes are joined by the Tipatapa River. The Carribean coast is called Mosquito, or Miskito after the small Indian group who lived there. Most Nicaragu ans live there. Although most people live in the Mosquito area, the majority of Nicaraguans say that Matagalpa is the nicest and coolest place to live. Some say that this suburban region is so nice because the sun always shines, but it is less humid than the other Nicaraguan cities and towns. The hottest place in Nicaragua is in the East. It is always hot and wet, but is perfect for growing bananas. There are many rainy places in Nicaragua, and as a result, most of Nicaragua has tropical rainforests. The rainforests are homes to many types of insects and animals. There are many, but I will only name a few. Mammals such as monkeys, alligators, and snakes are the main wildlife. There are billions and billions of (no typing error, just exaggeration) insects from A' to Z', such as red ants, mosquitoes, and even a striped house fly called the zebra fly! The wild fowl, such as parrots, toucans, macaws, humming birds, and vultures fly through the air. Fur-bearing creatures like the coyote and grey and red fox, roam the evergreen forests and are even sometimes kept as pets. The least likely place you'd find any animals is the small desert area in the west. This is the driest part of Nicaragua. This place even has a dry winter and hot summer season, and the summer season is hotter of the two. As I said before, the most rain falls in the East. The average was about 100-300 inches a year. Almost all the rain that falls to make up the 100-300 average falls in the east. Now I will get away from the land (finally) and tell you some things about the people of Nicaragua. The main ethnic group in Nicaragua is the mixture of European and Indian decent, or Mestizoes. 5% are of American Indian decent, and 17% are European. 99% of the population's skin color is black. The main religion was Christianity, beginning in the early 1500's when the Spanish

Oroonoko Close Reading (Anti- Slavery Text) Research Paper
Oroonoko Close Reading (Anti- Slavery Text) - Research Paper Example So, Oroonoko puts on various identities as a novel, as a travelogue, or colonial discourse than an anti-slavery text. The narration presents contradictions in the perspectives of the fictionalized author narrator and the hero, Oroonoko and creates doubts about its characteristics as an anti-slavery text. Set in the seventeenth century, Oroonoko is often seen as a precursor of the anti-slavery literature which became popular later during the nineteenth centuries. Norton Anthology says that ââ¬Å"In the early 1660s, when the events described in Behnsà Oroonoko are supposed to have taken place, England was not yet a major power in the slave tradeâ⬠(The Norton Anthology of English Literature). This has Oroonoko as a reference text when it comes to details on slave trade. à In its section on the biography of Aphra Behn, the anthology says that the novel had great impact on people who fought against slavery and slave trade. Oroonoko also has been critically acclaimed to be an anti-slavery text by many critics. Laura Brown in her ââ¬Å"the Romance of Empire: Oroonoko and the Trade in Slavesâ⬠says that, "the novella had been recognized as a seminal work in the tradition of antislavery writings from the time of its publication down to our own period"(42). Oroonoko captures the transatlantic slave trade and is set in the colonial Africa and West Indies. One of the most outstanding aspects of the novella is that Oroonoko has an African prince as its hero. Though set in the British colonies, it is unlike a mere travelogue or a documentary. On the other hand, it makes a strong statement regarding slavery in its portrayal of the cruelties of slavery. The details about the process of slave trade are described. The author of Oronooko says, ââ¬Å"Who want slaves make a bargain with a master or a captain of a ship, and contract to pay him so much apiece, a matter of twenty pound a

Who Is Responsible for Current Financial Crisis Essay
Who Is Responsible for Current Financial Crisis - Essay Example Many theories have been discussed concerning the causes of this financial crisis, moreover, why its impact has been so large for it to affect negatively people from diverse backgrounds. Although many of these theories sound logical, none of them even attempts to capture the real reasons why this crisis happened. In this matter, it is our opinion that this financial crisis has come about due to weak policies from the government as well as the greed of corporations in their bid to make more money. In this paper, we set out to prove our stand by discussing in detail the governmental and corporate causes of the crisis. Government policies on handling financial institutions had a direct hand in the financial crisis happening. This is mainly because the government failed to regulate adequately the activities of banks and instead gave them a free hand in conducting their activities, even though these activities proved to be harmful to the economy. Furthermore, during the Bush administration , there was a strong bid by Republicans in Congress to force banks to lower their lending rates so that most people could have their own homes by taking more affordable mortgages (Holtzman 95). This had a direct hand in triggering the current crisis because many of these people ended up not being able to pay their mortgages and this led to a lack of liquidity, which created a panic. Enterprises such as Freddie Mac, which are government-sponsored, were encouraged to buy securities, which were backed by mortgages, and some of these happened to be very risky ventures (Wallison). The government also helped to trigger the financial crisis when it misinterpreted the looming crisis as one, which was concerned with liquidity. To solve this problem, it responded by giving out a lot of money to people so that they could have more money to spend and in the process make the economy start to move again. However, things did not happen as predicted and instead, many people who got the money chose to save it instead of spending it. This government solution now became a problem because nothing happened as it had been expected to work. The financial crisis was something that could have been avoided and its occurrence was caused on a large part by the corporate greed, which aimed at gaining more profits through the taking of risks, which were dangerous (Chan). The ineptitude of the regulators of the financial sector to stop these tendencies by banks to take risks further made the situation worse and this almost led to a near collapse of the financial system. Those who were supposed to regulate the financial institutions lacked the morality to oversee and take action against those institutions that they were supposed to be in charge of supervising. These regulators, as well as the politicians who were allied to them, chose to ignore the regulations and instead let the financial institutions do whatever they wanted to do (Sanchez 521). Those who headed the very large financial ins titutions practiced things that were illegal in their line of work and all this brought about the financial crisis because their attempts to make profits illegally came to fall apart.Ã
